Information Management Consultant - ETL - DW -DG- MDM -All Level Positions Required
Decision First Technologies is an Atlanta based Business Intelligence professional services firm. We specialize in establishing business intelligence strategies, from setting initial Business/IT agendas to implementing applications and technologies by gathering, storing, analyzing and providing access to data. Our goal is to support and improve the decision-making process for our clients helping them plan for the future.
Currently seeking individuals responsible for taking lead roles in Information Management consulting activities required to help our clients translate their information needs into the appropriate delivery methods for the organization. Activities include but not limited to:
- Participate in the end to end lifecycle of DW implementations
- Utilize business intelligence expertise, business knowledge and technical skills to successfully deliver Data Warehousing methodology initiatives
- Effectively interact with business and functional teams to gather/develop functional and technical requirements and translate the requirements into robust analytics and reporting solutions
- Adhere to development methodologies, standards, naming conventions and best practices
- Develop technical architecture designs which support a robust solution taking into account the user requirements, technical requirements, etc.
- Complete project related documentation (naming standards, technical specifications, test plans etc) during the different stages of the project as required
- Deliver training and provide knowledge transfer to end user clients
- Design and create DW/BI procedures from the data source systems to other heterogeneous environments, ODS, OLAP databases, data marts or DW
- Design and Develop SAP BusinessObjects Universes for enterprise reporting and analytics
- Apply performance and tuning enhancements and house-keeping activities
- Work with our clients to identify new areas within the business where the data warehouse or BI solution can be utilized to better drive business results
Technical Skills:
Three years+ professional experience with two or more of the following is required:
- ETL tools (SAP Data Services, Informatica, DataStage, Oracle Warehouse Builder, Oracle Data Integrator, Abinitio, Microsoft, Talend)
- BI tools (SAP BW, SAP BusinessObjects, Hyperion, Cognos, Microstrategy, Microsoft, Oracle, Proclarity, SAS, Infomation Builders, QlikTech, Tableau, Targit)
- Multidimensional tools (Essbase, Analysis Services-SSAS)
- Experience in Dimensional Data Modeling and Star Schema design
- Experience with Modeling tools (Erwin, PowerDesigner, Visio, Embarcadero)
Two years+ professional experience with one or more of the following is preferred:
- BI tools (SAP BW, Hyperion, Cognos, Microstrategy, Microsoft, Proclarity, Oracle)
- MDM tools (SAP MDM, Kalido, Informatica, DataFlux)
- Skills with Web Technologies (i.e java, web services, xml, cookies, tomcat, php, etc)
- Experience with data warehouse appliances (Netezza, Greenplum, Oracle Exadata, Aster Data)
Ideal Experience:
- BusinessObjects Data Services
- Universe Design
- Writing SQL queries and extraction processes related to information retrieval and analysis
- Experience with relational databases including Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, Teradata, DB2, Sybase, MySQL, Progress
- Involvement with formal data warehousing architectures, meta data management, master data management and data stewardship
Soft Skills:
- Communication skills: Strong presentation/communication/facilitation skills (oral and written)
- Strong planner and organizer with demonstrated ability to master new concepts quickly, incorporate the latest technologies and develop business solutions that increase efficiency, productivity and profitability
- Must possess ability to work independently and with minimal supervision at times
- Must possess ability to work in team environment at times
- Must possess ability to develop and implement solutions using Agile project management techniques
- Basic MS Excel and MS Project skills required
